CHALLENGES FACED BY FEMININE IN SPORT

In sport when a lady is actively involved in any sporting activities (football, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, boxing, karate etc.) she is known to be a feminine. Feminine in sport faces some physical and natural challenges, such as:

MENSTRUAL PERIOD

This period woman{feminine} involved in sport, experience menstrual flow of blood and cell. This period a feminine find it difficult to be active in trainings and competition, due to some symptoms like stomach cramps, backache, headache, fever, weakness and heavy flow of blood.

DISCRIMINATION

 Feminine sometimes in sport are discriminated by same sex for the reason that their body shape has changed, and sometimes their mode of dressing, strength, behavior amongst others. Worse than ever, other female don’t even want to make friends with them because they see them as transmuted sex, so they rather make friends with a male athlete.

ASSAULT BY MALE COACH

In sport most feminine are assaulted by been beaten or ill-treated by male coaches{some},if they turn down unfavorable request from them, because they don’t have the preeminence power to fight back.

SEXUAL HARRASSEMENT

Most of the feminine athlete are sexually abused before being given their deserved preferment and provided with good kits, making it into state or national team is a no-go area if they don’t want to be taken advantage of. Some won’t speak up or  cast  the option off, since they are concerned in getting good kits, making it into state and national level; in order to be seen successful in their sporting career at all cost. All which they deserve at no cost but with hard work and efficiency.

MOTHERHOOD

This period of motherhood confines their time is not something tranquil for female athlete to breastfeed and train, it is totally insalubrious, even taking care of kids and family is an hefty curb to a successful sporting career (all just for motherhood). In any way, if she brings her child to the training ground she prepares for interruption, because her baby will surely disturb and distract her. For instance, if a nursing mother who plays football still breastfeeds her baby she calls for flaw. should in case she is playing a match, immediately after the first half she will have to breastfeed her baby; which may feasibly cause a lessening to her strength and fitness.

BARRIER\ARGUMENT WITH PARTNER(BOYFRIEND OR HUSBAND)

They also face some other barriers like argument with the partner especially when the partner is not a fan of sport or an athlete.

TRANSFORMATION



Most of the female athletes are dropping out of their sport because they don’t want to become muscular or burly.

PREGNANCY

when a female athlete gets pregnant, she will have to take a break from all her activities in order to care for her child; which may last for a year, taking her temporarily out of her career which perhaps decreases her mental ability, she will have to slip trainings, competitions, tours etc. This is the main reason why most female athlete decide to get married or comprehend child bearing at latter days of their life, especially when they are not yet at the peak of their career and thinking that after giving birth she might not be active again or may quit sport, or may even not be in good condition if operation is unexpectedly carried out during child bearing.

 

It is only those female athlete that can fight against this challenges intellectually, substantially and thorough fully, wins, and gets an inexorable successful career.  The   feminine warriors some are Funke Oshoniake, Chioma Agunwa, Mercy Akinde, Asisat Oshoala, Bose Kafo , Blessing Okagbare, Serena Williams, Aruna Ganiyat and so on.
